Karen Torres

Attorney​

  • Ms. Karen Torres received a Bachelor of Criminal Justice from the University of Texas at Brownsville and a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Thurgood Marshall School of Law, Texas Southern University. She was licensed to practice law in the State of Texas in 2012.

  • A native of Mexico and an immigrant herself, Ms. Torres immigrated to the United States when she was only 7 years old.  She, as well as her family, went through the intricacies of the immigration process.  Living through the delays, complexities, frustrations, and challenges involved in it, it gave her a personal understanding and realization that her calling was to help people in similar situations like her and her family.

  • Ms. Torres is well-versed in all aspects of immigration law and matters, including family-based immigration, naturalization and citizenship, deportation defense, and asylum.  As an educated and highly dedicated lawyer, Ms. Torres’s broad experience extends to bond hearings, deportation/removal proceedings, and appeals to the Board of Immigration Appeals.

  • Ms. Torres believes it to be her calling to assist immigrants in pursuing their American dream.  She has represented clients from many countries around the world with their immigration needs whether they have a need to be represented in Immigration Court, United States Citizenship and Immigration Service, or United States Consulates abroad.  She has extensive family-based immigration experience and is ready to represent clients in a full range of immigration benefits.  Ms. Torres engages closely and empathically with her clients to achieve positive results while offering the best service possible.

  • Ms. Torres’s areas of concentration include immigration, family, personal injury, and criminal law.
